GIORNATA POSITIVA PER IL FOLLADORE SPEEDRS TEAM: VIETTI IN P5 E LÓPEZ IN P8 NEL DAY 1 DEL GP DI FRANCIA
Il SpeedRS Team torna a Le Mans, riportando in pista i colori dell’azienda Folladore S.r.l..Al termine della prima giornata del Gran Premio di Francia, i risultati sono positivi: Vietti al quinto posto, mentre López in ottava posizione.
La giornata è iniziata con temperature molto basse e una bandiera rossa nella sessione precedente, che ha causato ritardi all’inizio della FP1 della Moto2. Nonostante le condizioni non ideali, entrambi i piloti del team sono riusciti a ottenere l’accesso diretto alla Q2 di domani, dimostrando grande competitività.
Alonso López, due volte terzo a Le Mans nelle passate stagioni, ha confermato il suo ottimo feeling con il tracciato francese. Nelle FP1, il pilota madrileno ha segnato il sesto tempo in 1’35.506. Nel pomeriggio, la sessione di Practice è stata condizionata da una nuova bandiera rossa e numerose cadute, ma López è comunque riuscito ad abbassare il crono a 1’35.341, chiudendo la giornata in ottava posizione.
Celestino Vietti è stato competitivo fin dal primo turno, ottenendo il quarto crono nelle FP1 in 1’35.429. Nel secondo turno, nonostante le molte bandiere gialle che hanno interrotto diversi giri validi, il pilota italiano ha saputo migliorarsi, fermando il cronometro in 1’35.291 e chiudendo così la giornata in quinta posizione.

“Sono abbastanza soddisfatto di questa prima giornata. Le condizioni non erano semplici, soprattutto nel pomeriggio con la bandiera rossa e le tante cadute che hanno reso difficile trovare continuità. Nonostante tutto, siamo riusciti a chiudere nella top 10 e ad accedere direttamente alla Q2, che era il nostro obiettivo principale. Le sensazioni con la moto sono buone e so che possiamo ancora migliorare qualcosa domani per essere più competitivi in qualifica. Le Mans è una pista che mi piace molto e darò il massimo per ottenere un buon risultato”.

“È stato un buon venerdì, probabilmente uno dei migliori dall’inizio della stagione, soprattutto in termini di posizione. Riuscire a entrare direttamente in Q2 è un passaggio fondamentale che ci permette di affrontare il resto del weekend con maggiore tranquillità. C’è ancora da lavorare sul ritmo: devo fare un piccolo step per limare gli ultimi dettagli e arrivare più pronto alla gara. Continueremo a concentrarci su questo, cercando di essere più costanti”.
POSITIVE START FOR THE FOLLADORE SPEEDRS TEAM: VIETTI P5, LÓPEZ P8 ON DAY 1 OF THE FRENCH GP
The SpeedRS Team is back in action at Le Mans, proudly carrying the colors of Folladore S.r.l. At the end of the first day of the French Grand Prix, the results are encouraging: Vietti secured fifth place, while López finished in eighth.
The day began with very low temperatures and a red flag in the previous session, which caused delays at the start of Moto2 FP1. Despite the challenging conditions, both riders managed to gain direct access to tomorrow’s Q2, showing strong competitiveness.
Alonso López, a two-time podium finisher at Le Mans in previous seasons, confirmed his great feeling with the French track. In FP1, the Madrilenian rider set the sixth fastest time with a 1’35.506. In the afternoon, the Practice session was disrupted by another red flag and several crashes, but López still managed to slightly improve his time with a 1’35.341, ending the day in eighth position.
Celestino Vietti was competitive from the very first session, clocking the fourth fastest time in FP1 with a 1’35.429. In the second session, despite several yellow flags that interrupted many valid laps, the Italian rider improved further with a 1’35.291, finishing the day in fifth position.

“I’m quite satisfied with this first day. Conditions were tricky, especially in the afternoon with the red flag and many crashes that made it difficult to find consistency. Despite everything, we managed to finish in the top 10 and go straight to Q2, which was our main goal. The feeling with the bike is good, and I know we can still improve some details tomorrow to be more competitive in qualifying. I really like Le Mans and will give my all to achieve a strong result”.

“It was a good Friday, probably one of the best since the start of the season, especially in terms of position. Getting straight into Q2 is a key step that allows us to approach the rest of the weekend more calmly. There’s still some work to do on race pace; I need to take a small step forward to fine-tune the final details and be better prepared for the race. We’ll keep working on being more consistent”.
