QUALIFICHE BRITISH GP: LÓPEZ CENTRA LA Q2 E CHIUDE DECIMO; VIETTI SI FERMA IN Q1

Si sono concluse le qualifiche del Gran Premio di Gran Bretagna, dove il Beta Tools SpeedRS Team ha archiviato la seconda giornata con Alonso López in decima posizione e Celestino Vietti diciannovesimo. I due piloti scatteranno rispettivamente dalla quarta e settima fila nella gara di domani.

Nelle FP2, disputate in condizioni miste, entrambi i piloti sono scesi in pista solo negli ultimi minuti della sessione. La pista umida e le basse temperature hanno influenzato le prestazioni, con tempi significativamente più alti rispetto alla giornata precedente. López ha chiuso con il decimo tempo in 2’06.557, mentre Vietti ha registrato il ventiduesimo crono in 2’09.449.

In Q1, il numero 21 ha conquistato l’accesso alla Q2 piazzandosi al quarto posto con un giro in 2’03.550. In Q2, invece, il pilota madrileno ha saputo sfruttare il secondo run, conquistando così la decima posizione e una preziosa quarta fila in griglia.

Giornata più complicata per Celestino, che ha visto sfumare l’accesso alla Q2 per una manciata di millesimi. Senza nessuna possibilità di lottare per una posizione migliore, il pilota italiano ha concluso le qualifiche in diciannovesima posizione, e domani scatterà dalla settima fila.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 10° in 2’03.803

“Nelle FP2 siamo riusciti a fare pochi giri, quindi abbiamo dovuto lavorare molto in qualifica per trovare il giusto feeling. In Q1 ho spinto al massimo e sono riuscito a conquistare l’accesso alla Q2 all’ultimo tentativo. Domani partiremo dalla quarta fila: non è la posizione che speravamo ma è comunque un’ottima posizione. Se partiamo bene e rimaniamo costanti possiamo portare a casa un buon risultato”. 

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 19° in 2’03.638

“Oggi non è stata una giornata facile. Questa mattina, a causa delle condizioni della pista, non siamo riusciti a provare ciò che avevamo pianificato e abbiamo potuto vedere i risultati di alcune modifiche solo durante le qualifiche. Non c’è stato nulla che non funzionasse in particolare, ma probabilmente la moto nella configurazione di ieri mi era più familiare e riuscivo a essere un po’ più incisivo. Oggi, invece, non sono riuscito a esprimere il massimo né a mettere insieme un giro perfetto per entrare in Q2. Qualche errore di troppo ci ha penalizzati, e purtroppo partiamo indietro. Sicuramente possiamo recuperare, anche se non sarà semplice partendo dalla diciannovesima posizione. Domani ce la metteremo tutta: sappiamo dove possiamo sorpassare, quindi sarà fondamentale fare una buona partenza e cercare di risalire il più possibile”.

BRITISH GP QUALIFYING: LÓPEZ MAKES IT TO Q2 AND FINISHES TENTH; VIETTI STOPS IN Q1

Qualifying for the British GP has concluded, with the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team wrapping up the second day with Alonso López in tenth position and Celestino Vietti in nineteenth. The two riders will start tomorrow’s race from the fourth and seventh rows, respectively.

In FP2, held in mixed conditions, both riders went out on track only in the final minutes of the session. The damp surface and low temperatures affected performance, resulting in lap times significantly slower than the previous day. López finished with the tenth-best time of 2’06.557, while Vietti posted the twenty-second fastest lap at 2’09.449.

In Q1, number 21 earned access to Q2 by finishing fourth with a lap of 2’03.550. In Q2, the Madrilenian rider made the most of his second run, ultimately taking tenth place and securing a valuable fourth-row start.

It was a more difficult day for Celestino, who narrowly missed out on advancing to Q2 by just a few thousandths of a second. With no opportunity to fight for a better grid position, the Italian rider ended qualifying in nineteenth and will line up on the seventh row tomorrow.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 10th in 2’03.803
“In FP2 we managed to do only a few laps, so we had to work a lot in qualifying to find the right feeling. In Q1 I pushed to the limit and managed to secure access to Q2 on the last attempt. Tomorrow we will start from the fourth row: it’s not the position we hoped for, but it’s still a good spot. If we get a good start and stay consistent, we can bring home a good result”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 19th in 2’03.638
“Today wasn’t an easy day. This morning, due to the track conditions, we couldn’t try what we had planned, and we only saw the results of some setup changes during qualifying. There wasn’t anything that particularly didn’t work, but probably the bike in yesterday’s configuration was more familiar to me, and I was able to be a bit more aggressive. Today, however, I couldn’t express my maximum or put together a perfect lap to get into Q2. A few too many mistakes penalized us, and unfortunately, we’ll start from the back. We can definitely recover, although it won’t be easy starting from nineteenth. Tomorrow we’ll give it our all: we know where we can overtake, so it will be crucial to have a good start and try to climb up as much as possible”.
