POSITIVE FIRST DAY AT THE MUGELLO INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT. VIETTI IN P2 AND LÓPEZ IN P8

The Beta Tools SpeedRS Team kicked off the Italian weekend at the renowned Mugello International Circuit with a very promising Friday. Under the Tuscan sun, the team’s two riders showed strong pace right from the first sessions: Vietti ended the day in P2, while López secured P8. Both riders will go directly into tomorrow’s Q2.

Celestino confirmed the positive feeling already shown during last week’s test, demonstrating great competitiveness starting from FP1, which he finished with the third fastest time of 1’50.677. In the afternoon, the Italian rider improved further, setting an excellent 1’50.288 to claim second place for the day.

There was also significant progress for Alonso. After a morning session compromised by the cancellation of his best lap (1’51.035), which saw him finish P19 with a time of 1’51.705, rider #21 responded with determination during the Practice session. With a lap time of 1’50.645, López claimed the eighth spot on today’s timesheet.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 2nd in 1’50.288
“I’m satisfied with the practice sessions. After the Barcelona test, we managed to set up a bike that’s easier to ride and allows me to be more consistent in different conditions. My riding style also helped us find a direction that suits me. Overall, it was a good Friday: the time attack went well, the race pace is strong, but we’ll need to manage the tyres carefully because it’s very hot and the grip is low. We’re on the right path—there are still a few things to improve, but we’re there. Ready for tomorrow!”

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 8th in 1’50.645
“It was a positive day. The feeling with the bike improved lap after lap, and the team did a great job putting me in a position to be competitive. The Barcelona test definitely had an impact. Now we focus on qualifying, knowing we can make another step forward”.
