BRITISH GP RACE: VIETTI PULLS OFF A GREAT COMEBACK TO FINISH SIXTH, LÓPEZ TAKES TENTH AT THE LINE

The seventh round of the 2025 Moto2 World Championship took place at Silverstone Circuit under particularly challenging conditions due to strong winds. Despite this, the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team secured sixth (Vietti) and tenth (López) place finishes.

Celestino delivered a remarkable comeback. Starting from 19th on the grid, the Italian rider maintained a solid and consistent pace, gradually making his way through the field to finish the British GP with an excellent sixth place.

Alonso, for his part, fought hard throughout the race, running between seventh and eighth positions for most of the time. A late mistake dropped him to 11th across the line, but he was ultimately classified 10th due to a penalty handed to Dixon.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 10th
It was a race where I think we learned a lot of important things. However, we still need to keep working because we haven’t yet found the feeling we’re looking for to ride the way we want. Hopefully, things will improve in Aragón — our goal is to become more and more competitive. We’ll keep giving it our all!”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 6th
“It was still a good Sunday, because we managed to turn around a weekend that had taken a tough turn. Great job by everyone, really. The conditions were tricky, but in a way, they helped us: the group stayed tighter than usual, and it was easier to recover positions. The feeling with the bike wasn’t bad — we were able to keep a good pace and stay consistent throughout the race. Race by race, we’re understanding more about where we can still improve. The positive thing is that, despite a difficult weekend, we brought home 10 valuable points, so yes, it was a positive Sunday for the whole team. We need to keep going in this direction: stay positive, work with confidence, and keep the drive to improve. Now let’s see what happens in Aragón”.
