TOUGH QUALIFYING FOR LIGHTECH SPEED UP RIDERS AT THE GRAND PRIX OF PORTUGAL<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lightech Speed \u200b\u200bUp riders returned to action at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve to determine their position on tomorrow\u2019s starting grid.<\/p>\n

The day started well for team 5 who closed the three free practice sessions in twelfth place, taking direct access to Q2. The rookie Montella confirmed the good feelings of Friday\u2019s sessions and prepared to face his first Q2. Upon returning on track, conditions have changed and the feeling with the bike was not the same as in the morning for Yari who tried hard but struggles to find a fast lap and closed the qualifyingn in p18.<\/p>\n

A more complicated day for Navarro who, at the end of free practice sessions, was unable to take the direct passage to Q2.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, his qualifying ended early with a bad crash on the second lap where he fortunately remained unharmed. Upon returning to the garage, the short time available was not enough to get back on track and improve the time<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m happy with this first day. We started off on the right foot and immediately understood where to focus our work on both my riding style and the setting of the bike. I suffered a bit from the lack of grip in the morning session, but already in FP2 the feeling was better. \u201cThis morning we missed Q2 for a while. The sensations were better than yesterday as was the rhythm. In Q1 I suffered a high-side on the second lap. We are analyzing the data at the set up of the bike and driving levels well to understand where we can improve.
