FREE PRACTICES: L\u00d3PEZ AND ALDEGUER CLOSE THE FIRST DAY OF THE CATALANGP IN P3 AND P14<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

At the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Beta Tools SpeedUp riders completed the first two free practice sessions of the Catalan Grand Prix obtaining the 3rd (L\u00f3pez) and 14th (Aldeguer) position in the combined standings.<\/p>\n

Alonso L\u00f3pez, despite last week’s operation, returned to posting excellent results. The rider number 21 , after two pit stops mainly used to solve the problem with the rear of his Boscoscoscuro, ended the first free practice session with the third fastest time of 1’44.822. The FP2 in the afternoon also did very well, where the Madrilenian finished in second position (1’44.975). Thus keeping unchanged the morning chrono of 1’44.822, Alonso ended the Catalan day by winning the third place.<\/p>\n

Aldeguer instead, after setting the time of 1’45.503, suffered a crash in turn 5 which prevented him from re-entering the track to lower his time, thus ending the morning session in twelfth position. During FP2, the young rider from Murcia pitted twice for tire changes which he was unable to take advantage of. At the end of the two free practice sessions of the Catalan GP, the number 54 rider obtained the fourteenth position with a time of 1’45.496 (+0.692).<\/p>\n

LOPEZ #21<\/strong>: 3rd in 1\u201944.822<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I am very happy with how the first day after the operation went because I felt good sensation in the saddle right away. For tomorrow we need to take a step forward and improve the grip with the rear. I thank my team because they were immediately ready to solve the weakest points. For tomorrow I am super positive.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
