ALDEGUER CONQUERS THE FIRST POLE OF THE SEASON. L\u00d3PEZ WILL START FROM THE SIXTH ROW<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

At the Circuito de Jerez-\u00c1ngel Nieto, Ferm\u00edn Aldeguer secures the first pole position of the season and takes the lead of the starting grid. On the other side of the grid, L\u00f3pez finishes Saturday’s session in sixteenth position, securing the sixth row for tomorrow’s race.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite adverse weather conditions and a fall at turn 1 just before the end of FP2, Ferm\u00edn managed to qualify directly for Q2 thanks to his time in yesterday’s FP1 (1\u201940.898). During qualifying, the number 54 Beta Tools SpeedUp rider leveraged tire changes and, with an outstanding final lap, claimed the first pole position of the year, stopping the clock at 1\u201940.676. With a time almost breaking the track record, Aldeguer and his Boscoscuro caught the attention and will start from the front row of the grid tomorrow.<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u00f3pez handled the wet track well during the morning session but failed to improve his time from FP1 (1\u201941.215). With the eighth time in the combined standings, Alonso advanced directly to Q2. However, due to water on the track from the morning rain and remaining damp patches in the afternoon, he slipped at turn 5, compromising a possible front line start. The number 21 rider finished Spanish qualifying in sixteenth position with a time of 1\u201942.347 and will start from the sixth row of the grid.<\/span><\/p>\n
