ITALIAN GP QUALIFYING: L\u00d3PEZ SECURES FRONT ROW, ALDEGUER WITHDRAWS FROM Q2<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

At the Mugello International Circuit, the second day of qualifying for the Italian GP has just concluded. L\u00f3pez clinched the third position, earning a spot on the front row for tomorrow’s race. However, due to a neck injury, Aldeguer was unable to compete in Q2 and will start from the sixth row.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alonso stole the show during the morning practice sessions, breaking the track record previously held by Acosta with a time of 1’49.926. Despite an error in the first sector during Q2, he confirmed his excellent form and secured a front-row start. However, he couldn’t replicate his fastest time and break the 1’50 barrier.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday proved to be challenging for Ferm\u00edn. After setting the second fastest time in FP2 (1\u201950.146), he began experiencing neck pain, forcing him to skip Q2. Consequently, he will start from the sixth row based on his free practice time. Medical checks revealed no serious injuries, but his participation in tomorrow’s race remains uncertain. A final medical assessment will determine his eligibility to join the grid alongside the other riders.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday we changed some details on the bike and today the setup proved to be excellent. With the used tires I was competitive but even more so when I put on the new ones. I am happy with the result especially because I achieved my goal which was to conquer the front row. Tomorrow we will need to make a good start and manage the tires well in order to win the race”.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cI am obviously disappointed not to have been able to participate in Q2 due to the neck pain that occurred during practice. I did my best in FP2 to get a good time, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to confirm it in the official qualifying session. Now I will focus on recovery and do everything I can to be fit for tomorrow’s race.
