AUSTRALIAN GP QUALIFYING: ALDEGUER BREAKS HIS OWN RECORD AND CLAIMS POLE. WITH L\u00d3PEZ THIRD, BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP TAKES THE FRONT ROW<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

For the third consecutive year, Beta Tools SpeedUp confirms itself among the front-runners at Phillip Island. Aldeguer secures pole position, his third of the season, while L\u00f3pez takes the third spot on the grid. Both will start from the front row in tomorrow\u2019s race.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aldeguer, despite the difficult track conditions this morning which prevented him from improving his FP1 time, earned direct access to Q2 thanks to his lap time from yesterday, an excellent 1’32.718. In the afternoon, with the track finally dry, the young Murcian talent made the most of every single lap, never returning to the pits. With a formidable 1’30.876, Ferm\u00edn not only clinched pole position but also broke his own circuit record.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alonso L\u00f3pez, for his part, demonstrated great speed and determination on a track that suits him particularly well. Despite the challenges faced during FP2, where the conditions didn\u2019t allow him to improve his time, Alonso still earned direct access to Q2 thanks to his 1’33.035 lap time recorded yesterday. In qualifying, he faced some unexpected issues on the track, including front grip problems. However, thanks to the excellent work of the team and the use of new tires, he was able to respond swiftly. On his final available lap, he stopped the clock at 1’31.144, securing the third-best time and ensuring a front-row start.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a good pace, we didn\u2019t change the tires, and I feel good, confident about starting from the front row tomorrow. I really like this track; it suits my riding style, and overall, it works very well with the setup of my Boscoscuro. Right now, there are nine of us fighting for the championship, but we need to focus on giving our best tomorrow, as it\u2019s the most important day. The main goal at this moment isn\u2019t the title, but to get on the podium tomorrow, and hopefully in all the upcoming races\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
