TEAM HDR HEIDRUN<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

L\u00d3PEZ ENDS THE FIRST DAY OF THE ARGENTINA GP IN P2, WHILE VIETTI FINISHES P23<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

After two years away from the Argentina GP, Team HDR Heidrun returned to the Termas de R\u00edo Hondo circuit for the second round of the 2025 season. The first day brought mixed results: on one hand, Alonso L\u00f3pez secured an impressive second position despite a crash, while on the other, Celestino Vietti ended the day in 23rd after an unlucky session.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alonso, who already stood out on the Argentinian track in 2023 with a pole position, lap record, and second place in the race, once again showcased his incredible connection with this circuit. With a strong 1’41.873, the Spanish rider claimed the second-fastest time of the Practice session, earning direct access to Q2. Despite a crash at Turn 4 with less than two minutes remaining \u2014 from which he fortunately walked away unscathed \u2014 his final result remained unaffected. L\u00f3pez now has the chance to replicate his success from two years ago and aim for a front-row start.<\/span><\/p>\n

For Celestino, however, Friday proved more challenging than expected. The Practice session was repeatedly interrupted by yellow flags, preventing the Italian rider from completing a clean fast lap. Day 1 ended with a 23rd-place finish in 1’43.170, leaving him temporarily out of tomorrow\u2019s Q2.<\/span><\/p>\n

ALONSO L\u00d3PEZ<\/b> #21:<\/b> 2nd in 1\u201941.873<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was quite a big crash today, but luckily I\u2019m okay. It\u2019s been a long time since I\u2019ve had a fall like that. Despite it, I managed to complete a fast lap and show once again that not only do I love this track, but it also allows me to be very competitive. I still had two laps available before the crash, and with the feeling I have with my Boscoscuro, I believe I could have set two even faster times than the one I ended the day with. I\u2019m confident I can do well in Q2 tomorrow and aim for one of the top three rows\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

CELESTINO VIETTI <\/b>#13:<\/b> 23rd in 1\u201943.170<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, I wasn\u2019t able to complete a lap that would get me into Q2. It\u2019s a shame because we have the potential to be there. Today we were a bit unlucky \u2014 between a few mistakes on my part, the yellow flags, and the session being cut short due to the red flag, I couldn\u2019t make the most of our potential. However, there are positives: we\u2019re not slow, and there\u2019s plenty of room for improvement.
