TEAM HDR HEIDRUN<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

FIFTH AND SIXTH ROW FOR THE HDR HEIDRUN TEAM IN THE QATAR GP QUALIFYING\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

The second day of qualifying at the Lusail International Circuit has concluded with Celestino Vietti in P14 and Alonso L\u00f3pez in P18. The two riders of Team HDR Heidrun will start tomorrow from the fifth and sixth rows of the starting grid, respectively. L\u00f3pez will also have to serve a long lap penalty during the race following the penalty received in yesterday’s practice session.<\/span><\/p>\n

In FP2 this morning, the Spaniard was unable to improve on the time set on Friday, but he still finished in eleventh place with a time of 1’58.177. Thanks to his strong result the previous day, Alonso advanced directly to Q2, where he tried to defend himself as best as he could, but he was unable to complete a competitive lap. His day ended with eighteenth place and a time of 1’58.940.<\/span><\/p>\n

As for Vietti, the day showed improvement. After facing difficulties yesterday, the Italian rider found a better feeling with his Boscoscuro, finishing FP2 in P16 with a time of 1’58.422. In Q1, he made significant progress, securing a spot in Q2 with the fourth-fastest time of 1’57.341. However, in qualifying, a crash by Aji at the final corner ruined his best lap just as he was about to post a time that would have placed him in the second row. Cele will therefore start from the fourteenth position on the grid, meaning the fifth row.<\/span><\/p>\n

ALONSO L\u00d3PEZ #21: 18th in 1’57.830<\/b>
\n<\/b>“In Q2, I gave it everything, but I wasn’t able to complete a truly competitive lap. Unfortunately, starting from the sixth row isn’t ideal, and the long lap penalty will make the race even more challenging. That said, I will try to make a good start, stay close to the group ahead, and give my best until the end”.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 14th in 1’57.304<\/b>
\n<\/b>“We didn’t finish as we would have liked, but overall it was a positive day. We managed to make a nice improvement in terms of speed. In Q2, we had the potential to do well, but in the final lap, we weren’t particularly lucky. Despite that, it’s important to focus on the positives: the feeling with the bike has improved, and so has the speed.
