BRITISH GP QUALIFYING: L\u00d3PEZ MAKES IT TO Q2 AND FINISHES TENTH; VIETTI STOPS IN Q1<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

Qualifying for the British GP has concluded, with the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team wrapping up the second day with Alonso L\u00f3pez in tenth position and Celestino Vietti in nineteenth. The two riders will start tomorrow\u2019s race from the fourth and seventh rows, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

In FP2, held in mixed conditions, both riders went out on track only in the final minutes of the session. The damp surface and low temperatures affected performance, resulting in lap times significantly slower than the previous day. L\u00f3pez finished with the tenth-best time of 2\u201906.557, while Vietti posted the twenty-second fastest lap at 2\u201909.449.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Q1, number 21 earned access to Q2 by finishing fourth with a lap of 2\u201903.550. In Q2, the Madrilenian rider made the most of his second run, ultimately taking tenth place and securing a valuable fourth-row start.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was a more difficult day for Celestino, who narrowly missed out on advancing to Q2 by just a few thousandths of a second. With no opportunity to fight for a better grid position, the Italian rider ended qualifying in nineteenth and will line up on the seventh row tomorrow.<\/span><\/p>\n

ALONSO L\u00d3PEZ #21: 10th in 2\u201903.803<\/b>
\n<\/b>\u201cIn FP2 we managed to do only a few laps, so we had to work a lot in qualifying to find the right feeling. In Q1 I pushed to the limit and managed to secure access to Q2 on the last attempt. Tomorrow we will start from the fourth row: it\u2019s not the position we hoped for, but it\u2019s still a good spot. If we get a good start and stay consistent, we can bring home a good result\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 19th in 2\u201903.638<\/b>
\n<\/b>\u201cToday wasn\u2019t an easy day. This morning, due to the track conditions, we couldn\u2019t try what we had planned, and we only saw the results of some setup changes during qualifying. There wasn\u2019t anything that particularly didn\u2019t work, but probably the bike in yesterday\u2019s configuration was more familiar to me, and I was able to be a bit more aggressive. Today, however, I couldn\u2019t express my maximum or put together a perfect lap to get into Q2. A few too many mistakes penalized us, and unfortunately, we\u2019ll start from the back. We can definitely recover, although it won\u2019t be easy starting from nineteenth.
