FRIDAY ARAG\u00d3N GP: L\u00d3PEZ AND VIETTI CURRENTLY OUT OF DIRECT Q2 ACCESS<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

The eighth round of the Moto2 World Championship officially got underway today at MotorLand de Arag\u00f3n. The opening day of practice ended with the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team riders provisionally outside the Q2 group: Vietti finished in P15, while L\u00f3pez closed in P18.<\/span><\/p>\n

For Alonso, the day didn\u2019t start as expected, especially considering that he set the lap record here last year with a time of 1\u201950.989. In FP1, the Spanish rider recorded the 11th fastest lap (1\u201952.118), before ending the afternoon Practice session with the 18th time overall (1\u201951.557). Tomorrow, he\u2019ll tackle Q1 with the clear goal of securing one of the top four spots to advance into Q2.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was a demanding Friday for Celestino as well. After finishing FP1 in 13th position (1\u201952.134), the Italian rider returned to the track in the afternoon with a revised Boscoscuro setup, following adjustments made between the two sessions. Vietti improved his time but missed direct access to Q2 by just 0.042s, ending the day in P15 with a best lap of 1\u201951.388. For him too, tomorrow\u2019s qualifying will be crucial in the fight for the front rows of the grid.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/b>“Honestly, I was expecting more, especially on a track where we were really strong last year. This morning we struggled a bit to find the right feeling, and in the afternoon we tried different solutions to improve the pace, but we didn\u2019t quite make that step forward we needed to get into Q2 directly. Tomorrow we\u2019ll give everything in Q1”.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
