VENERDI’ ARAGON GP: LÓPEZ E VIETTI FUORI DALLA Q2 PROVVISORIA

Al MotorLand di Aragón è ufficialmente iniziato l’ottavo round del Campionato Mondiale Moto2. La prima giornata di prove si è conclusa con i piloti del Beta Tools SpeedRS Team provvisoriamente fuori dalla Q2: Vietti ha chiuso in P15, mentre López in P18.

Per Alonso, la giornata non è iniziata secondo le aspettative, soprattutto considerando il record della pista da lui firmato proprio qui lo scorso anno con un tempo di 1’50.989. In FP1 il pilota spagnolo ha registrato l’undicesimo crono in 1’52.118 per poi concludere le Practice con il diciottesimo tempo in 1’51.557. Domani affronterà la Q1 con l’obiettivo di rientrare tra i primi quattro per accedere alla Q2.

Giornata intensa anche per Celestino. Dopo aver chiuso FP1 con il tredicesimo tempo (1’52.134), il pilota italiano è tornato in pista nel pomeriggio con una Boscoscuro rivista in seguito a modifiche di setup effettuate tra le due sessioni. Vietti ha migliorato la propria prestazione, ma ha sfiorato l’ingresso diretto in Q2 per soli 42 millesimi di secondo, chiudendo in P15 (1’51.388). Anche per lui la sessione di qualifiche di domani sarà determinante per puntare alle prime file in griglia.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 18° in 1’51.557

“Onestamente, mi aspettavo qualcosa in più, soprattutto su una pista dove l’anno scorso eravamo stati davvero competitivi. Stamattina abbiamo iniziato con qualche difficoltà nel trovare il giusto feeling, poi nel pomeriggio abbiamo provato diverse soluzioni per migliorare il passo, ma non siamo riusciti a fare quel passo in avanti che ci serviva per entrare direttamente in Q2. Domani daremo tutto in Q1”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 15° in 1’51.388

“Non sono riuscito ad entrare in Q2. Ci sono dei punti in cui siamo forti e dei punti dove invece perdo abbastanza. L’obiettivo adesso è analizzare bene i dati per cercare di guidare meglio e avvicinarmi più possibile ai primi. Non sarà facile domani perchè comunque ci aspetta prima la Q1 però ce la metteremo tutta”.

FRIDAY ARAGÓN GP: LÓPEZ AND VIETTI CURRENTLY OUT OF DIRECT Q2 ACCESS

The eighth round of the Moto2 World Championship officially got underway today at MotorLand de Aragón. The opening day of practice ended with the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team riders provisionally outside the Q2 group: Vietti finished in P15, while López closed in P18.

For Alonso, the day didn’t start as expected, especially considering that he set the lap record here last year with a time of 1’50.989. In FP1, the Spanish rider recorded the 11th fastest lap (1’52.118), before ending the afternoon Practice session with the 18th time overall (1’51.557). Tomorrow, he’ll tackle Q1 with the clear goal of securing one of the top four spots to advance into Q2.

It was a demanding Friday for Celestino as well. After finishing FP1 in 13th position (1’52.134), the Italian rider returned to the track in the afternoon with a revised Boscoscuro setup, following adjustments made between the two sessions. Vietti improved his time but missed direct access to Q2 by just 0.042s, ending the day in P15 with a best lap of 1’51.388. For him too, tomorrow’s qualifying will be crucial in the fight for the front rows of the grid.

“Honestly, I was expecting more, especially on a track where we were really strong last year. This morning we struggled a bit to find the right feeling, and in the afternoon we tried different solutions to improve the pace, but we didn’t quite make that step forward we needed to get into Q2 directly. Tomorrow we’ll give everything in Q1”.

“I wasn’t able to get into Q2. There are some sections where we’re strong, but in others I’m losing quite a bit. The goal now is to analyze the data carefully, try to improve my riding and get closer to the front. It won’t be easy tomorrow because we have to go through Q1 first, but we’ll give it our all”.
