FREE PRACTICES: P8 AND P11 FOR BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP ON JAPANESE FRIDAY

Moto2 has finally returned to the Motegi circuit with a different program than usual in which only one session has been scheduled for today.

Another change of livery for Team SpeedUp which returns to wear the colors of BETA TOOLS with enthusiasm for the remaining five events of the 2022 season.

In the first day of the Grand Prix of Japan Alonso López and Fermín Aldeguer finished in seventh and first place respectively.

Alonso started the session well by improving the time on his second run on the track after stopping in the garage to change tires, finishing the FP1 in 1’51.170 to +0.677 from the first taking seventh place in the provisional free practice standings .

Team54 also did well, finishing the first day at +0.958 with a time of 1’51.451, which means the eleventh position of the FP1. For Fermín it was the first time on Japanese soil and right from the start he showed an excellent ability to adapt, as he had already experienced on other occasions.

A final free practice session is scheduled for tomorrow and qualifying will be held in the afternoon.
