FREE PRACTICES: POSITIVE START OF THE GP OF ALGARVE FOR THE TERMOZETA SPEEDUP

The Termozeta SpeedUp team is back in Portugal for the penultimate round of the Moto2 World Championship of the 2021 season, the Grande Premio do Algarve.

Navarro and Aldeguer concluded the first day of free practices with the fourth and nineteenth place respectively.

Team nine started off on the right foot and finished free practices with excellent sensations. Fast in FP1, p13 in 1’44.289 to +0.622 from the leaders, Jorge improved in FP2 his lap time by almost 1 second, stopping the chronometer in 1’43.371  (+0.126), fourth at the end of the day.

Good start for Aldeguer too. The young Spaniard managed well through the curves and ups and downs of the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve. A slight fall made Fermin lose a few minutes of the first session, while in FP2 he managed to lower his time by half a second. A few details to fix, but the feeling is good. P19 in 1’44.149 (+0.903) at the end of the day for team 54.

JORGE NAVARRO # 9: 4th in 1’43.372

“Positive day! A good feeling from the first laps on track this morning. Step forward in the afternoon thanks to some small details that made us faster and more precise. On the last run we mounted the soft tire which certainly made the difference. Good feelings for now, tomorrow we will continue to work in this direction”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER # 54: 19th in 1’44.149

“A positive but complicated first day because I feel good on this track but we are working to improve and reach the positions we want. In FP2 we tried some new changes but they didn’t go as we hoped, but we already have a clear goal for tomorrow and we know how to get there!”.
