FREE PRACTICE: LÓPEZ AND ALDEGUER CLOSE THE FIRST DAY IN P2 AND P6

MB Conveyors SpeedUp team took to the track today to face the first free practices of the German GP. To host the seventh round of the Moto2 World Championship is the Sachsenring where Alonso López and Fermín Aldeguer finished the German Friday in second and sixth position respectively.

The number 21 rider started the first free practice session in a positive way. In fact, after a short stop at the garage, Alonso returned to the track crushing the second-best time of the morning with a time of 1’24.216, just +0.237 from the first. During FP2, Lopez proved to be fast even in the wet giving the other riders a hard time on the track. Despite a slight crash in turn 2 a few minutes from the end, the Madrilenian ended the day in second position in the combined standings with the time set during the morning practice (1’24.216).

Even Aldeguer finished an excellent FP1 in sixth position with a time of 1’24.484. In the afternoon, the number 54 took advantage of the tire change even if, due to the weather conditions, he didn’t lower his time but he showed that he knew how to adapt well to any condition by closing the session with an excellent last lap in 1’27.107. Sixth place for Aldeguer in the combined standings, just +0.505 from the leader.

“I’m super happy with today. Even in the wet, we worked very well and followed a good pace. We are ready for tomorrow in the hope that the same weather conditions will be repeated to give our best and demonstrate what we are capable of.”
