NAVARRO CLOSES THE GRAND PRIX OF DOHA IN THE POINTS, MONTELLA EIGHTEENTH

The second round of the Moto2 world championship has just ended at the Losail International circuit. MB Conveyors SpeedUp closed the Grand Prix of Doha with the thirteenth place of Jorge Navarro and the eighteenth of Yari Montella.

Difficult race for Navarro but he was able to manage well even though the conditions were not the most suitable. Jorge started from the sixth row after the unusual qualifying in p17. Not a good start for the number nine in which he suffered a few attacks and with a full tank he didn’t want to risk too much in the first laps. At a set pace, confident in overtaking, Jorge climbed up to thirteenth place aware of having given his all.

On the other side of the garage, it was not an easy race for Yari either. For the rookie it was essential to improve last week’s performance and accumulate data and experience on track on his Boscoscuro B-21 bike. A feeling still to be improved but progress is there.

JORGE NAVARRO #9: 13th

“We have finally completed these two races in Qatar in which we have collected a lot of data, and I think it is the most positive part of these weeks. This was probably not the best track for our bike. We tried to get the most out of it, we worked hard, the team did everything they could and therefore we are aware that we have given everything. I can’t wait to arrive to Portugal and start working because I know we can show what we can do”.

YARI MONTELLA #5: 18th

“A somewhat difficult race. We thought we had solved the problems a bit, but there is still work to be done to achieve stability. We are giving our best both in driving and the technicians in setting up the bike, but we are still missing something. We know where we are suffering but we are struggling to solve the problem. Now focus on Portimao”.
