INDONESIAN QUALIFYING: SECOND ROW FOR ALDEGUER AND SIXTH FOR LÓPEZ

Beta tools SpeedUp recently concluded qualifying for the Indonesian Grand Prix with fifth (Aldeguer) and eighteenth place (López), securing the second and sixth row respectively for tomorrow’s race.

Aldeguer closed the three free practice sessions this morning, obtaining second position with a time of 1’33.942 (gap +0.095), entering Q2 by right. In qualifying, the number 54 continued to surprise by concluding the session with the fifth fastest time in 1’34.226 and a distance of just +0.071 from the fastest rider. Therefore, Fermín finished the second Indonesian day by tackling the second row of the starting grid.

A more complicated Saturday for Alonso already in FP3 in which he classified fifteenth in the combined and therefore had to face Q1. Here López finished in P2, thus entering Q2 where he was unable to find the fastest lap, finishing the session in P18 with a time of 1’35.084. Despite this, López will start from the sixth row of the grid in tomorrow’s race.

 

ALDEGUER #54: 5th in 1’34.226

“Today was a very positive day. The sensations were good and I showed it in both sessions. In FP3 I was very fast, finishing second while in qualifying I concluded fifth with an almost zero gap from the first. In tomorrow’s race, in addition to making a good start, we will have to demonstrate that we can maintain the pace we had today”.

LÓPEZ #21: 18th in 1’35.084

“I thought I would take a step forward today but, in some sectors, it was really difficult to give 100% of our potential. However, my feelings for tomorrow remain positive, we can still demonstrate that we are very competitive so we will see what happens tomorrow”.
