TERZA E NONA FILA PER MB CONVEYORS SPEED UP NELLE QUALIFICHE DEL GRAN PREMIO DEL QATAR

I piloti MB Conveyors Speed Up prenderanno il via rispettivamente dalla terza e nona fila della griglia di partenza del Gran Premio del Qatar in programma domani alle 18.20, ora locale.

La seconda giornata del primo gran premio della stagione 2021 inizia con l’ultima sessione di prove libere nella quale Navarro lavora sulla messa a punto in previsione qualifiche e Montella continua la sua familiarizzazione al tracciato e alla guida della Boscoscuro.

A fine FP3 la combinata del venerdì resta invariata. Le condizioni della pista cambiano notevolmente nelle sessioni serali a causa dell’abbassamento delle temperature e quindi Navarro, p10 nelle libere, si aggiudica l’accesso diretto alle Q2, mentre Montella si prepara alle sue prime qualifiche.

Le Q1 non hanno esito positivo per Yari, fermato dal traffico in pista proprio nel suo giro più veloce, partirà dalla nona fila della griglia di partenza in ventisettesima posizione.

Terza fila invece per il numero nove del team che termina le Q2 con il crono di 1’59.420 in nona posizione.

JORGE NAVARRO #9: 9^° in 1’59.420

“Alla fine è stato un giorno positivo. Anche se il feeling non era dei migliori siamo comunque riusciti a fare un buon lavoro! Domani partiamo noni, non è male come posizione e credo che se continuiamo a lavorare e a capire come migliorare i piccoli dettagli che ci mancano con un passo avanti possiamo lottare per le prime cinque posizioni. Studieremo le informazioni raccolte nelle qualifiche di oggi per prepararci al meglio alla gara”.

YARI MONTELLA #5: 27^° in 2’00.173

“Giornata non proprio semplice. Nel mio giro veloce sono stato ostacolato e purtroppo in quindici minuti i giri in pista sono davvero pochi. Positivo è invece il mio ideal time che ci dà quel tocco di sicurezza in più per la gara di domani. Stiamo lavorando moltissimo sulla mia guida, cercando fluidità soprattutto in entrata in curva. È tutto un work in progress. Piano piano, anche se giriamo sempre uguale, qualcosa di positivo lo iniziamo a vedere”.

“Not an easy day. In my fastest lap I was hindered and unfortunately there are very few laps on the track in fifteen minutes. On the other hand, my ideal time is positive, which gives us that extra touch of security for tomorrow’s race. We are working a lot on my driving, looking for fluidity especially when entering corners. It’s all a work in progress.
