+EGO SPEED UP

GARA: NAVARRO TREDICESIMO, MONTELLA OUT NEL GRAN PREMIO DI SAN MARINO

Un Gran Premio di San Marino sottotono per il team +EGO SpeedUp, complicato da un inizio gara turbolento per Navarro e da Montella che non finisce la gara.

Jorge perde nove posizioni in partenza ritrovandosi a lottare nel gruppone centrale, gomito a gomito con molti piloti. Proprio quando il numero nove sembra pronto a recuperare le posizioni perse, arriva la penalità di un long lap che la commissione gli impone per il contatto avuto con Corsi, ma resta l’incertezza che fosse un semplice incidente di gara. Bravo a non mollare, Navarro inizia la rimonta e da p22 taglia il traguardo tredicesimo dimostrando un ottimo passo e velocità.

Un weekend difficile e in salita per Montella che insieme alla sua squadra si aspettavano di più da questa gara di casa finita in anticipo a causa di una caduta nel corso del tredicesimo giro.

JORGE NAVARRO #9: 13^°

“Oggi è stata una giornata complicata, è andato tutto storto sin dalla partenza. Son partito male, nella seconda curva ho sofferto un contatto con un altro pilota perdendo tempo e posizioni e poi c’è stato l’incidente con Corsi per il quale chiedo scusa ma a mio parere credo sia stato un incidente di gara; lui era uscito dalla linea, io sono entrato e quando lui stava rientrando ci siamo toccati e lui è caduto e così mi assegnarono un long lap penalty. Dopo il long lap ho dato il massimo, ma eravamo troppo lontani dalla top 10. Ad ogni modo, abbiamo preso punti e informazioni per la prossima gara qui in Misano. Ringrazio la mia squadra per il lavoro svolto in questo weekend, ci vediamo ad Austin!”.

YARI MONTELLA #5: DNF

“Giornata nera. Oggi abbiamo fatto fatica, una gara al limite senza essere veloci cadendo al dodicesimo giro. Mi dispiace per non essere riuscito a fare un buon risultato e niente, è stato bello così”.

RACE: NAVARRO THIRTEENTH, MONTELLA OUT IN SAN MARINO GRAND PRIX

A subdued San Marino Grand Prix for the +EGO SpeedUp team, complicated by a turbulent start to the race for Navarro and Montella who did not finish the race.

Jorge lost nine positions at the start and found himself fighting in the central group, side by side with many riders. Just when the number nine seemed ready to recover the lost positions, the commission imposed on him a long lap penalty for the contact he had with Corsi, but the uncertainty remains as it could have been a simple race accident. Bravo not to give up, Navarro startet the comeback and from p22 he crossed the finish line thirteenth showing an excellent pace and speed.

A difficult and uphill weekend for Montella who, together with his team, expected more from this home race which ended early due to a crash during the thirteenth lap.

JORGE NAVARRO # 9: 13^th

“Today was a complicated day, everything went wrong from the start. I got a bad start, in the second corner I suffered a contact with another rider losing time and positions and then there was the accident with Corsi for which I apologize but, in my opinion, I think it was a race accident; he had gone off the line, I went in and when he was coming back, we touched and he fell and so they gave me a long lap penalty. After the long lap I gave my all, but we were too far from the top 10. Anyway, we got points and information for the next race here in Misano. Thanks to my team for the work done this weekend, see you in Austin!”.

YARI MONTELLA #5: DNF

“Black day. Today we struggled, a race at the limit without being fast, crashing on the thirteenth lap. I’m sorry for not being able to get a good result and nothing, it was good like this”.
