GARA: DOMENICA AMARA PER IL TEAM MB CONVEYORS SPEEDUP
La gara del Gran Premio de la Republica Argentina lascia il team MB Conveyors SpeedUp a mani vuote.
Qui a Termas de Rio Hondo, dopo l’impresa nelle qualifiche di ieri di Aldeguer, le aspettative erano alte. Ma non è tutto: il giovane talento ha continuato a far parlare di sé anche nel warm up di questa mattina dopo aver segnato il record della pista in 1’42.547 prendendosi ancora una volta la prima posizione.
Una partenza da pilota esperto, così Fermin ha dato il via alla gara lasciandosi tutti alle spalle per i primi tre giri. Vietti si è poi portato in testa con Aldeguer alle calcagna fino al settimo giro quando ha provato a riprendersi la prima posizione approfittando di un errore del suo avversario e lì la caduta all’uscita della curva 13. Peccato per il risultato a fine gran premio che lascia l’amaro in bocca a pilota e team dopo un weekend sopra le righe.
Si è concluso un gran premio più complicato per Fenati ed il suo team, condizionato da problemi di feeling in frenata. Le soluzioni apportate durante le prove non hanno dato i risultati sperati in gara conclusa in diciottesima posizione. C’è ancora molto lavoro da svolgere per la squadra cinque ma il potenziale non manca.
FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: DNF
“Alla fine non è andata come pensavamo e come volevamo. Oggi potevamo lottare per la vittoria ma non so se un mio errore o l’errore di un altro pilota ci ha impedito di continuare a lottare per la prima posizione. Da un lato davvero dispiaciuto per il risultato finale, ma dall’altro contento per i progressi raggiunti. Abbiamo lavorato molto, sappiamo che abbiamo il potenziale per fare bene e niente, non vediamo l’ora che arrivi la prossima gara per dare tutto!”.
ROMANO FENATI #5: 18°
“Non è sicuramente la gara che volevamo. Con le modifiche provate fino al warm up non ci sentivamo pronti per la gara e abbiamo optato così per un’altra modifica. Purtroppo non ha dato i suoi frutti se non che ci è servita per capire quale strada dobbiamo prendere. Occhi su Austin, in cerca di riscatto”.

The race of the Gran Premio de la Republica Argentina leaves the MB Conveyors SpeedUp team empty-handed.
Here at Termas de Rio Hondo, after Aldeguer’s feat in qualifying yesterday, expectations were high. But that’s not all: the young talent continued to be talked about even in this morning’s warm up after setting the track record in 1’42.547, once again taking first position in the session.
An expert rider’s start, so Fermin started the race leaving everyone behind for the first three laps. Vietti then took the lead with Aldeguer at his heels until the seventh lap when he tried to recover the first position taking advantage of an error by his opponent and there the crash at the exit of turn 13. Too bad for the result at the end of the grand prix that leaves a bad taste in the mouth of rider and team after an over the top weekend.
A more complicated Grand Prix ended for Fenati and his team, conditioned by feeling problems under braking. The solutions tested did not give the expected results in the race ended in eighteenth position. There is still a lot of work to be done for team five but there is no lack of potential.
FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: DNF
“In the end it didn’t go as we thought and as we wanted. Today we could have fought for the win but I don’t know if my mistake or the mistake of another rider prevented us from continuing to fight for the top position. On the one hand, I am really sorry for the final result, but on the other hand happy with the progress achieved. We worked hard, we know we have the potential to do well and nothing, we can’t wait for the next race to give it our all!”
ROMANO FENATI #5: 18°
“It is definitely not the race we wanted. With the changes we tested until warm up, we didn’t feel ready for the race and so we opted for another change. Unfortunately, it has not paid off except that it has helped us to understand which path we should take. Eyes on Austin, looking for better results”.
