SECOND AND FOURTH ROW FOR CAG SPEEDUP IN THE AUSTRIAN QUALIFYING

At the Red Bull Ring, the CAG SpeedUp riders have just concluded the Austrian Grand Prix qualifying, claiming the second and sixth row of the starting grid for tomorrow’s race.

In the third free practice session in the morning, Aldeguer was forced to the box for most of the time due to a technical problem with his Boscoscuro bike. Despite the few laps on the track, Fermin managed to finish in the top 12 of the combined classification with a time of 1’34.602, thus obtaining direct access to Q2. After the excellent work of the team54 to restore the bike, Fermin faced the final qualifying showing that he can be fast and competitive. Fortunately, the two yellow flags that cancelled his best laps didn’t prevent the rider from Murcia from taking the second row of the starting grid with the sixth time in 1’34.639, +0.599 from the leader set at the end of qualifying.

For number 21, the Austrian Saturday turned out to be a little more complicated than expected. With the fourteenth time of the combined rankings in 1’34.789, obtained in the last free practice, Alonso entered Q2 where, a few minutes from the end, he ran into a slight crash at turn 1. Despite this, López managed to finish qualifying in P11 with a time of 1’35.045 and therefore in tomorrow’s race he will start from the fourth row of the grid, more than ever ready to give his best.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 6th in 1’34.639

“At the end of the day, I can say I’m satisfied since I’m starting from the second row tomorrow. This morning we had some technical problems and I didn’t have a good feeling, but we managed to improve during qualifying to finish sixth. We continue to work to bring home the best possible result in tomorrow’s race.”

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 11th in 1’35.045

“I’m not happy with today’s result, I think I can do much more. Now we have to work and study this track well while tomorrow I’ll give my all to achieve a good result”.
