TOP 10 FOR CAG SPEEDUP IN THE FREE PRACTICES OF THE AUSTRIAN GP

The CAG SpeedUp team is back on track today at the Red Bull Ring to tackle the first free practice sessions of the Austrian Grand Prix, tenth round of the Moto2 World Championship.

Alonso Lopez and Fermín Aldeguer finished the Austrian day in tenth and ninth position respectively.

Variable pace for the number 21 who during FP1 did not find the fastest lap astride his Boscoscuro thus finishing in P12 with a time of 1’35.256. Alonso then returned to the track in the afternoon, lowering his morning result by almost two tenths of a second but still encountering some difficulty in finding the right pace/harmony on this track. Lopez closed the combined session with the tenth time in 1’34.964 (+0.914).

The number 54 rider finished the morning runs in sixth position with a time of 1’35.800, +0.640 from the leader after working with the team on the bike set-up. In the second round of the afternoon Fermín did not manage to be incisive and he concluded by confirming the time obtained during FP1 of 1’34.800, ninth of the combined.

“I’m happy with how this day went because the sensations with the bike are better than I thought even if we need to improve some details. We have room for improvement to achieve an excellent result and get closer to the riders at the top”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 9° in 1’34.800

“It was quite an up-and-down day and the track is definitely not helping. In any case, I’m happy with how we’re working and tomorrow we’ll try to move up a few positions”.
