GARA: P7 E P11 PER LIGHTECH SPEEDUP NEL DRAMMATICO PORTUGUESE GP
Da Portimao, è tutto. Il quinto appuntamento del Campionato Mondiale Moto2 si è appena concluso con Aldeguer e Fenati che sono riusciti a portare a termine una gara drammatica rispettivamente con il settimo e l’undicesimo posto.
Il meteo ancora una volta ha complicato le condizioni della pista causando una drammatica maxi caduta alla curva due del nono giro dopo il primo start. Molti i piloti a terra, a causa della curva bagnata, tra i quali Aldeguer che però è subito riuscito a tornare ai box con la sua Boscoscuro.
Dopo lo sventolare della bandiera rossa sono subito arrivate le nuove disposizioni per il secondo start: 7 giri a disposizione e soli 17 piloti in gara. Fortunatamente entrambi i piloti del LighTech SpeedUp team sono riusciti a rientrare in griglia: p5 per Aldeguer e p13 per Fenati.
Al secondo via Fermin è scattato molto bene inserendosi alle spalle del leader a fine del primo giro. Nel secondo lap ha perso qualche posizione e al giro seguente si è stabilito in p6 difendendo il risultato fino a fine gara quando si è visto togliere una posizione per essere uscito dalla pista durante l’ultimo giro.
Solida prestazione anche per Fenati che dalla casella tredici di Gara2 è partito bene recuperando due posizioni a fine del primo giro e con grinta e determinazione ha saputo mantenere un ritmo costante in tutta la gara senza commettere errori. P11 al traguardo per squadra 5.
FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 7°
“Alla fine sono contento del risultato di oggi, avevamo bisogno di questi punti per il campionato. Una gara un po’ strana: dopo la buona partenza in Gara1 e dopo aver trovato un buon ritmo è arrivata la bandiera rossa per la caduta di tanti piloti nello stesso punto, tra i quali c’eravamo anche noi. Ho ripreso la moto e sono tornato al box, i meccanici sono riusciti a sistemarla in tempo e sono così tornato in griglia. Dopo la caduta ho perso un po’ la confidenza, mi mancava un po’ di feeling all’inizio ma poco alla volta l’ho ritrovato. Alla fine siamo arrivati settimi, contenti di questo risultato e con tanta voglia di andare a Jerez!”.
ROMANO FENATI #5: 11°
“Purtroppo è stata una gara un po’ movimentata. Una prima partenza, poi molte cadute e poi nella seconda ripartenza mi sono sentito più a mio agio grazie ad una piccola modificata. Dobbiamo migliorare ancora per Jerez, ma siamo sulla buona strada. Ora pensiamo a Jerez, ce la metterò tutta!”.
RACE: P7 AND P11 FOR LIGHTECH SPEEDUP IN A DRAMATIC PORTUGUESE GP
From Portimão, that’s it. The fifth round of the Moto2 World Championship has just ended with Aldeguer and Fenati who managed to complete a dramatic race in seventh and eleventh place respectively.
The weather once again complicated the track conditions causing a dramatic maxi crash at turn two of the ninth lap after the first start. Many rider on the ground, due to the wet corner, including Aldeguer who, however, was immediately able to return to the pits with his Boscoscuro bike.
After the waving of the red flag, the new provision for the second start immediately arrived: 7 laps available and only 17 riders could take part of the race. Fortunately, both LighTech SpeedUp riders managed to get back on the new grid: p5 for Aldeguer and p13 for Fenati.
At the second start, Fermin got off to a good start, placing himself behind the leader at the end of the first lap. In the second lap he lost a few positions and on the following laps he settled in p6 defending the result until the end of the race when he lost one position for touching the green during the last lap.
Solid performance also for Fenati who started well from the thirteen position of Race 2 recovering two positions at the end of the first lap and with grit and determination he was able to maintain a constant pace throughout the race without making mistakes. P11 at the finish line for team 5.
FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 7th
“In the end, I’m happy with today’s result, we needed these points for the championship. A somewhat strange race: after the good start in Race 1 and after having found a good rhythm, the red flag arrived due to the crash of many riders at the same point, including us. I got back on the bike and went back to the garage, the mechanics managed to fix it in time and I was back on the grid. After the crash I lost some confidence, I lacked a bit of feeling at the beginning but little by little I found it again. In the end we finished seventh, happy with this result and with a great desire to go to Jerez!”.
ROMANO FENATI #5: 11th
“Unfortunately it was a bit of a hectic race. A first start, then many crashes and then in the second restart I felt more at ease thanks to a small modification to the bike. We still need to improve for Jerez, but we are on the right way. Now let’s think about Jerez, I’ll give it my all!”.
